White oak flooring has been noted as being harder than red oak with a janka hardness rating of approximately 1360. The average length of planks is better than those of the advantage grade. They just assume all oak flooring is the same.
With clear grade, you’ll have virtually no color discrepancies or knots in your flooring. Just look at any oak tree the next time you pass one and imagine what each plank will look like when sawn from it. Red oak has a janka hardness rating of approximately 1290.

When installing the flooring, it is best to use a manual nailer, but staples and pneumatic nailers work well. Anything that the graders know will not make a #1 common or select grade will be pulled from the line at this point, and put into bundles.
